Dinner-conference with Jacques Tanguay

A leading figure in both business and sports in Québec, Jacques Tanguay will share a career shaped by entrepreneurship, community involvement, and a passion for sports. This conversation will revisit key moments of his journey — from leading Ameublements Tanguay to his work with the Rouge et Or football program and the Québec Remparts, as well as his pivotal role in creating and growing the Maurice Tanguay Foundation.

Born in Québec City, Jacques Tanguay joined the family business Ameublements Tanguay in 1983, where he went on to serve as president and later as chief operating officer of Groupe BMTC. He has also been president of Groupe Tanguay and its subsidiaries since 1990. Founder of the Rouge et Or football team and president of the Québec Remparts for over 25 years, he is equally known for his philanthropic work through the Maurice Tanguay Foundation. His contributions have earned him numerous honors, including the Order of Canada, the Ordre national du Québec, induction into the Académie des Grands Québécois, and an honoris causa doctorate from Université Laval awarded in 2025.
