LAVANDE

LAVANDE offers a furiously catchy, francophone dream-pop garage sound. This new band consists of Meilo Spear-Lalande, Renaud Belles-Isles, Léopold Wasungu, Julien Moisan-Labelle, and Louis-Solem Pérot.

Around 2015, Louis-Solem was playing Bach at dawn on Mont-Royal while Meilo was listening to two CDs on repeat (Best of Bowie, Bloodflowers by The Cure). In 2019, the former passed his Conservatory Competition while the latter won Ma Première Place des Arts.

In 2022, during a stay in Joliette, the longtime friends began drafting the project to come. In 2023, Julien and Léopold joined the duo with their post-punk and shoegaze flavors. Renaud joined the group a few months later, solidifying the band's decidedly delightful sound.
