Originally from Thetford Mines, Marco Ema is an indie pop-rock singer-songwriter whose sound blends nostalgia, emotional depth, and a touch of irreverence. First gaining attention in 2017 after winning Ma première Place des Arts and reaching the finals of the Festival international de la chanson de Granby, he has since earned multiple GAMIQ nominations and a Félix-Leclerc Prize nomination. Following his acclaimed debut Where Our Bodies Go to Die (2021), he released Anyway, Mommy Love (2023), a cinematic and intimate album supported by tours across Québec and Europe. Now based in the countryside, Marco Ema just released Papier Mâché in January 2026, his most consistent album so far 2026.
